Family and Individual donations can create a cycle of dependency if communities are not empowered to contribute to their own welfare and community development. We do a disservice to the communities we are trying to help if families and individuals rely too heavily on charity to meet their needs.
OUR TRANSFORMATIONAL MODEL - RITE
REACH - OUT
Beyond Nations’ first step towards transforming communities from poverty is conducting needs assessments of various communities. During this phase, we carry-out outreaching activities and invite community leaders and local residents and provide household basic items including food items, bedding, mosquito nets, clothing, scholastic materials, and so many others.
We use this opportunity to formally introduce ourselves to the communities that we intend to work with over several months and years to come. We believe that communities need to know who we are before they commit to work with us.
During this exercise, we interact with local leaders and residents the challenges that they face in their daily lives. We also register households and individuals according to their life challenges and make plans and arrangements to address their challenges as an Organization.
IDENTIFY
