Mama Arise is a parents’ and guardians’ group that meets at Pleroma every Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The group empowers members through two main activities: group savings and income-generating projects such as catering, soap making, and liquid soap production.
The weekly savings program helps women improve their financial stability by providing opportunities to save regularly and access loans. Members can borrow money to expand their businesses, pay school fees, and meet other emergency needs.
Through Mama Arise, women also work together as a team on various projects, including catering services, crafts, tailoring, and soap making. These activities promote economic empowerment, teamwork, and sustainable livelihoods for families and the wider community.
