Save Felistar From Maid to School girl

Meet Felistar, 12 years old, Primary Four.
Felistar is a bright but vulnerable girl from a deep village in Masaka. She is one of 10 children left behind after her father, a retired headteacher, passed away. Her mother, who runs a small local bar, is struggling to provide for all 10 children. Her small income cannot cover food, let alone school fees.
In search of a better future, her mother trusted a family friend to bring Felistar to Kampala, with a promise to help her and support her education.
Felistar now stays in Gita with her guardian the same person who brought her in the name of helping her. But instead of help, she was turned into a house maid.
At only 12 years old and in P.4, Felistar spends most of her day doing housework and caring for babies at her guardian's home. This is why she always comes to school late, and is often absent. She was promised payment for her work, but her guardian later claimed that her salary goes to her school fees yet she is still constantly chased out of school for unpaid fees.
Teachers often find her in class crying, tired and absent-minded. Her childhood has been replaced with labor.
When Beyond Nations intervened, she bravely shared her only wish: *to go back home, or to find a sponsor who can support her education.
Felistar does not deserve to be a maid at 12. She deserves to be in Primary Four, holding a pen, learning and playing like other children her age.
Let us join hands to get Felistar out of this suffering and give her a safe and comfortable environment where she can get an education.
Your support can pay for her school fees, basic needs, and help us secure a safe future for her.
No amount is too small to change her life.
Thank you for giving Felistar hope.
