Dalton Discovers Hope and the Joy of Learning
Ssekindu Dalton is a bright 13-year-old boy who has faced many challenges, especially when his mother separated from his father. After the separation, Dalton was taken back to the village, and life quickly became difficult. He didn’t have the scholastic materials he needed, and going to school regularly became a struggle. Over time, he started losing hope about his future.
When Beyond Nations learned about what he was going through, we stepped in and offered him full sponsorship. This support allowed Dalton to return to school without worrying about fees or being sent home again. For him, it was a huge relief.
Today, Dalton is very grateful for the help he has received. He says he can now focus on his studies without any disturbance, and he feels a renewed sense of hope and direction. The future that once seemed uncertain now feels within reach.
Dalton is excited to join Primary Six next year. With dreams of becoming a lawyer and passions like football and dancing that keep him energized, he now believes he can achieve what he sets his mind to.
His story is a reminder that sometimes all a child needs is support to rediscover their hope and move forward.
